RUN AND WALKATHON: The city of West Hollywood’s eighth annual Tom Proctor 5K/10K Run and Walkathon will be held today at 8 a.m. The course begins and ends at West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd. Registration is $15 with a T-shirt included, and $12 without.

HAUNTED HOUSE: The “Castle of Doom,” sponsored by the Youth and Young Adults of St. Luke’s Parish, will be open from 7:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the church hall, 9451 Broadway, Temple City. Adults $3. Children under 10, $2.

SHOTS FOR TOTS: Free pediatric immunization for families in the downtown Los Angeles area will be offered by St. Vincent Medical Center. The immunizations include measles, polio, mumps, diphtheria and rubella. Vaccine will be donated by the Los Angeles County Health Department, and offered to the first 200 participants Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of Loretto Church auditorium, 258 N. Union Ave., Los Angeles.

ART RACE: The Kinetic Art Sculpture Challenge, a race for people-powered sculptures that traverse water, mud, sand and city streets, will be held noon Saturday as part of the Long Beach Halloween festival. The festival runs Saturday, and again Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the shores of Rainbow Lagoon, next to the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.
