Calabasas 40, Santa Clara 6--Todd Cignarelli of Calabasas completed eight of 15 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns at Channel Islands High.
Cignarelli hit James Lin with a six-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and added a 37-yard scoring strike to Mike Baron in the third quarter. Baron also returned a kickoff 81 yards in the third quarter to give Calabasas (5-3, 3-1) a 40-0 lead.
Calabasas’ Scott Sistrunk gained 60 yards in eight carries.
Santa Clara (2-6, 0-3) broke the shutout midway through the fourth quarter when Billy Luhrs (104 yards) scored from five yards.
