More Food for Thought
Regarding your “Top 20 Restaurants” in Valley Life, I’m sure you will receive a bushel of complaints. Please add mine.
There were at least five serious omissions. Val’s in Toluca Lake is certainly the Valley’s most elegant restaurant. And in Encino there are two of the area’s most excellent dining places, Stratton’s Parkside Grill and Adam’s, both overlooked. For family restaurants, Mumms, in North Hollywood, in my opinion, rates as one of the best.
Also, doesn’t Max Jacobson believe his own reviews? A few weeks ago he raved about Cafe Amore, but now he doesn’t include it.
Finally, we have a track record in reverse. Pinot opened only three weeks ago and yet they are included.
Selecting from the hundreds of restaurants in the Valley is a monumental task, and Jacobson deserves high praise. But you would need a team of field reporters to really do the job.
