Mother Hale Hospitalized

NEW YORK — Clara (Mother) Hale, founder of the Hale House program for drug-addicted babies, was hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday, four days after suffering a mild stroke, her spokesman said. The 87-year-old Hale was having some problems speaking, but was otherwise in good condition, the spokesman said.
