Dan Quinn, a Minnesota North Star forward, will not be charged in connection with accusations that he raped a 19-year-old woman, authorities said. However, the North Stars released Quinn for violating team rules. The club declined to say whether the release was related to the rape allegations. “Based on the investigation, the county attorney’s office has concluded that it will be unable to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Quinn knew the victim did not consent to sexual intercourse,” the Hennepin County Attorney’s office said in a statement. Quinn’s contract with the North Stars contained a morality clause, according to his agent, Larry Kelly. “If there’s any impropriety at all, he can be released,” Kelly said.
