Brick Hits Big Apple: Independent producer Richard Brick will fill the long-vacant position of director of New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting. Mayor David Dinkins said Brick will be busy “creating a hospitable environment” for film, TV and commercial-making in the Big Apple. Brick, 47, was a producer for “Silkwood,” “Places in the Heart” and “Hangin’ With the Homeboys.”
