SIMI VALLEY : Applicants Sought for Planning Panel
The Simi Valley city manager’s office is accepting applications from residents who want to serve on the Planning Commission.
Forms must be returned by 3 p.m. Thursday.
Each member of the Simi Valley City Council nominates one commissioner to serve concurrently with the council member’s term. Mayor Greg Stratton, Councilman Bill Davis and Councilwoman-elect Barbara Williamson, who were elected Nov. 3, will nominate commissioners next month.
The City Council is slated to interview the nominees publicly Monday and may make appointments at that meeting.
The five-member panel usually meets on two Wednesday evenings each month.
Applicants must be residents of Simi Valley. Forms can be obtained by calling the city manager’s office, 583-6701, or visiting Simi Valley City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.
