Nick Faldo worked his way to the top of the leader board as difficult conditions continued to frustrate the select field in golf’s World Championship at Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Faldo, despite strong winds, tough fairways and the deep rough of the 6,920-yard Tryall Golf Club, matched par 70 and reached the halfway point of the season-ending, $2.7-million tournament at 141, one over par.
Behind Faldo at 142 are Tom Kite, who shot a 69, and Greg Norman, who had a 71.
The winner will make $550,000.
