COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Christ College Irvine Routs Dominican

Christ College Irvine opened a 26-point lead at halftime and cruised to an 83-61 victory over Dominican College in a nonconference men’s basketball game Thursday at Christ College Irvine.
D’Andre Brown had 19 points and six rebounds for the Eagles (10-7) and Doug Grove added 17 points. Agustin Heredia had 14 points. Ivory Hunter led Dominican (5-12) with 23 points.
In Western Christian Athletic Conference men’s basketball:
Pacific Christian 99, Arizona College of the Bible 82--Charles Ross scored 37 points and Bob Gaskill had 14 for visiting Pacific Christian (12-8, 6-0).
In Big West Conference women’s basketball:
Cal State Fullerton 82, Nevada Las Vegas 67--Allison Jackson scored 33 points and had four rebounds for visiting Fullerton. Ann Barry had 22 points for Nevada.
In California Collegiate Athletic Assn. women’s basketball:
Cal State Los Angeles 75, Chapman 64--Four Chapman players fouled out as the Panthers (2-13, 0-3) remained winless in conference. Melody Earle scored 21 points for Chapman.
In nonconference men’s tennis:
Southern California College 5, Loyola Marymount 2--Shannon Peace, Matt Scott, Mike Munoz and Jeff Pena all won singles matches to lead Southern California College to a season-opening victory.
In a men’s Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. match:
Pepperdine 3, UC Irvine 0--Tom Sorenson had 16 kills as Pepperdine (3-0, 2-0) topped UC Irvine, 15-4, 15-13, 15-8. Shawn Salkeld had 12 kills for UC Irvine (0-2, 0-1).
