Ingram Micro Acquisition: Ingram Micro Inc. said Tuesday that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of a majority interest in the largest computer distributor in Mexico for an undisclosed price.
Santa Ana-based Ingram, the world’s biggest computer distributor, said it acquired control of Distribuidora de Computo, S.A. DE C.V. (Dicom) and will rename it Ingram Dicom. The subsidiary is based in Mexico City and has six branches across Mexico: in Leon, Merida, Hermosillo, Culiacan, Puebla and Monterrey.
Jose Luis Rodriquez, Ingram Dicom’s president, and Manuel Saenz, its director general, will keep a significant ownership interest as well as management involvement in the company.
