Be Kind to the Animals: The movie “Beethoven,” the NBC drama “Sisters” and playwright Arthur Miller were winners at the Seventh Annual Genesis Awards on Sunday night in Century City. But the big winners were the animals--the awards honor those in the entertainment industry who spotlight animal issues. Beethoven, the four-legged star himself, was on hand to pick up the award in the family feature film category for the way the film “Beethoven” dealt with the issue of animal research. “Sisters” was tapped for an episode about wearing fur. Miller won the film classic award for the 1961 Marilyn Monroe movie “The Misfits,” which focused on wild horse roundups. Rue McClanahan, Earl Holliman and Mariette Hartley hosted.
