Boys Ordered to Stand Trial in Toddler’s Death

LIVERPOOL, England — Two 10-year-old boys were ordered Friday to stand trial in a higher court for the abduction and murder of a 2-year-old boy, whose kidnaping was recorded by a shopping center video camera.
The boys will be tried by a Crown Court, which hears serious criminal offenses and can hand down life sentences. No date was set for the trial.
James Bulger’s battered body was found near a railway line in this northwestern port two days after his Feb. 12 disappearance.
