Franklin 2, Huntington Park 1--Franklin’s Jeff Deno pitched a four-hitter and out-dueled Huntington Park’s Mario Armarbo at San Pascal Park.
Franklin got three hits from Ricky Catano and two from Oscar Cabrera, who scored their second run in the third inning on a fielding error. Franklin’s other run came on an run-scoring single by Deno that scored Angel Sanchez.
Huntington Park scored its only run in the fourth as Julio Oropeza scored on an error by shortstop Alonzo Aguillar.
