The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies from June 28 to July 4:
Glendale
Alameda Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves stole an electronic car, tools and sporting goods, valued together at $1,900, from a residential garage between 6 and 10 a.m. June 28.
South Glendale Avenue--A man tried to steal a pickup during a test drive, but the salesman jumped into the truck bed and rode along until the thief abandoned the vehicle at 11:30 a.m. June 28.
Honolulu Avenue, 2900 block--Thieves entered the manager’s office in a market and stole checks and $8,000 between 5 and 5:50 p.m. June 29.
Ocean View Boulevard, 3800 block--Thieves stole model locomotives, valued together at $1,689, from a hobby store in a theft discovered June 30.
East Broadway, 1400 block--Vandals set fire to a plastic portable outhouse toilet of unknown value at a high school stadium, melting it to the ground at 2:50 p.m. July 1.
West Kenneth Road, 1800 block--As a gardener finished work in a back yard, thieves took a leaf blower and hedge trimmer, valued together at $700, from the gardener’s truck bed between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. July 2.
Glenwood Road, 600 block--Thieves entered a private residence and stole jewelry and silverware of unknown value in a theft discovered July 2.
La Crescenta
Cloud Avenue, 4400 block--A telephone, cash, a camera and a key chain, valued together at $289, were stolen from a child development center on June 28 or 29.
Eagle Rock
West Avenue 43, 4000 block--Thieves removed louver glass to enter a private residence and steal cash and video equipment, valued together at $1,675, between 6:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 28.
Colorado Boulevard, 1700 block--Thieves with a gun stole a wallet from a man in a car at 11:30 p.m. June 28.
Verdugo Road, 4600 block--Thieves entered a locked private residence and stole jewelry and camera equipment, valued together at $1,850, between 10 a.m. and noon June 29.
Colorado Boulevard, 1000 block--Possibly using a crowbar to pry off a storage room vent, thieves entered a nightclub, ransacked it and took a radio and guns, valued together at $7,000, on June 29 or 30.
Echo Park
Waterloo and Montana streets--A thief approached a man sitting in a car, pointed a gun and took $31 at 10:30 p.m. June 28.
Riverside Drive and Figueroa Street--Thieves in a car pulled up next to a woman and demanded her purse, containing $50, at 7:40 a.m. June 30.
Glassell Park
Olancha Drive, 1100 block--After taking the screen off an open window, thieves entered a private residence and stole video and camera equipment, valued together at $783, between noon and 4:30 p.m. June 29.
Griffith Park
West Zoo Drive, 6600 block--Armed thieves stole jewelry and telephone equipment, valued together at $800, from a man at 1:10 p.m. June 29.
West Zoo and Griffith Park drives--Thieves stole a man’s car at knifepoint at 1:25 p.m. June 29.
Observatory Road, 2800 block--Thieves with a gun approached a man in a car and stole the vehicle at 10:30 p.m. June 29.
Highland Park
Meridian Street, 5600 block--Possibly using a key to enter a school office, thieves stole a TV, valued at $100, in a theft discovered June 28.
Strickland Avenue, 6200 block--Thieves possibly using a pass key entered a private residence and stole jewelry, valued at $700, on June 28 or 29.
Los Feliz
North Commonwealth Avenue, 2500 block--Thieves tied up a man with tape after knocking on his door and stole unknown property. The incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. June 28.
North Vermont Avenue, 1700 block--Thieves ran up behind a woman, knocked her down and stole her necklace, valued at $500, at 6:30 p.m. June 28.
Cumberland Avenue, 4100 block--As he drove into his driveway, a man was confronted by armed thieves who stole credit cards and $960 at 9:50 p.m. June 28.
North Kenmore Avenue, 1200 block--Thieves forced open a bedroom window, ransacked the residence and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $5,450, between 1 and 2 p.m. June 29.
Kenmore Avenue, 1400 block--A thief pushed a woman, then grabbed her purse, containing $100, at 4 p.m. June 29.
Fountain Avenue, 4900 block--Thieves entered through the open front window of a church’s main building and stole food, valued at $500, on June 29 or 30.
Silver Lake
Waverly Drive, 2700 block--Thieves smashed a rear window of a private residence and stole a radio and tools, valued together at $2,200, between 1:30 and 8:30 a.m. June 28.
Edenhurst Avenue, 4100 block--Entering through an open window, thieves ransacked a private residence and stole a radio and video equipment, valued together at $795, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. June 28.
Silver Ridge Avenue, 2200 block--Thieves with a knife left their car and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $114, at 12:15 p.m. June 28.
