Gene Wojciechowski really had a field day in last Saturday’s “Games to Watch”:

1. “Hoosiers won’t be able to stop the Spartans.”

Result--Indiana 10, Michigan State 0.

2. “Badgers won’t be able to keep up with a revived Michigan attack.”

Result--Wisconsin 13, Michigan 10.

3. “Nebraska hasn’t won at Boulder since 1987, and we’re guessing the streak will continue today.”

Result--Nebraska 21, Colorado 17.

4. “Kansas State’s dream season takes one in the midsection today.”

Result--Kansas State 21, Oklahoma 7.

5. “Quarterback Marvin Graves will have a big day against West Virginia and help salvage Syracuse’s otherwise disappointing season.”

Result--West Virginia 43, Syracuse 0.

6. “Arizona State running back Mario Bates had 127 yards and two touchdowns against Stanford last week, but he won’t have those kinds of numbers against the Huskies.”

Result--Arizona State 32, Washington 17 (Bates 163 yards and two touchdowns).

7. “Figure Fresno in a squeaker.”

Result--Wyoming 32, Fresno State 28.

In all fairness, Gene, you were right on your call of Ohio State handling Penn State, avoiding a shutout for the week.
