Klein is one of four returning sophomores for Cypress this season. She gives the Chargers experience and added desire to improve on last season’s performance. Cypress finished a game short of the State championship. Klein had two goals last week, one each in the Chargers’ 3-0 victory over Golden West and 4-0 defeat of Irvine Valley. She has six goals and four assists for Cypress, which clinched the Orange Empire Conference title Tuesday with a victory over Palomar. Cypress is 18-0-1, 10-0 in conference.
Other notables:
* Jenna Biefeld had two goals as Orange Coast beat Palomar, 4-1, in an Orange Empire Conference soccer game.
* Brenda Parks had 25 kills as Rancho Santiago split two Orange Empire Conference volleyball matches.
