GARDENA : 3 Arrested in Slaying of Man at His Front Door
Three people have been arrested in the slaying of a Gardena man who was shot and killed two weeks ago, apparently by mistake, when he answered the doorbell of his apartment.
Gardena police said John Madrona, 18, of Redondo Beach and Jeremiah DeGuzman, 19, of Carson have been booked on suspicion of murder in the Nov. 16 shooting death of Tracy Takahashi, 30.
A male juvenile was also arrested. All three are gang members, Lt. Gary Cherry said. Police theorized that the trio were looking for rivals who lived nearby when they rang Takahashi’s doorbell.
