OUTLOOK
Whoever wins the league title will have to beat Marina. The Vikings have won or shared the last three league titles, and have reached the Southern Section Division I-A semifinals the past two years. They are virtually unbeatable at home, having won 20 consecutive league games in their gym. Robbins (10 points, 11.5 rebounds), a junior, is the league’s only returning first- or second-team all-league player. Emde (six points, 3.5 assists) and Nakamura (five points, 4.5 assists) were part-time starters last year. Nakamura is coming off major knee surgery this summer. Marina is deep and should be able to use its defensive pressure, speed and quickness. The Vikings will continue to be aggressive, and Bonny says he is loaded with good decision-makers. They must replace Jessica Trippett (Barry University in Florida), Aimee Periolat (Long Beach State) and Karissa Eury (Snow College in Utah).
