Yoshizumi Leads Anteater Swimmers

IRVINE — Gwen Yoshizumi won two events to help UC Irvine to victories against San Jose State and Loyola Marymount in women’s nonconference swimming and diving meets Thursday at UC Irvine.
UC Irvine beat San Jose State, 122-111, and Loyola Marymount, 137-56. Yoshizumi won the 100 freestyle in 56.06 and the 200 freestyle (2:01.41).
Janelle Wong won the 50 freestyle (26.16) also for Irvine. The Anteaters’ Kara Anderson won the one-meter diving with 189 points teammate April Gibbs won the three-meter diving (202.30).
