Arthur Michaud, 91, who helped form and then managed the big bands of Gene Krupa and Bob Chester and who guided to success the careers of such other legendary musicians as Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Bix Beiderbecke, Bunny Berigan, Buddy Rich, Red Nichols, Charlie Barnett and Harry James. At one time, Michaud was booking most of the major bands of the day into concert halls and dance pavilions across the country. In Los Angeles on Feb. 7.
