Wilson Calls Special Election for Nolan’s Seat

SACRAMENTO — Gov. Pete Wilson on Friday called a special election to fill the vacancy created in the 43rd Assembly District as a result of incumbent Pat Nolan’s guilty plea in a Capitol corruption probe.
The district covers much of Burbank and Glendale.
Wilson set the election for May 3 with a runoff date of June 28, if needed.
