Neon Cars Recalled for Third Problem: Chrysler Corp. recalled the first 9,000 of its new subcompact cars to repair a third defect, according to a document issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The agency said Chrysler reported a problem involving rear brake hose fasteners on the all-new subcompact cars. The auto maker said the hoses could shift and leak, causing loss of braking. Chrysler officials who confirmed the recall called the brake fastener problem “old news.”
