‘Buccaneers’ Set for ‘Masterpiece Theatre’

Edith Wharton’s novel “The Buccaneers” is being made into a five-part miniseries for PBS’ “Masterpiece Theatre.” Filming began this week in Newport, R.I.
Cherie Lunghi stars as the English governess who supervises five young American women who launch themselves into English society in the 1870s. The production is expected to be broadcast next spring.
