* By voting against the assault weapons ban (“Assault Weapons Ban Clears House by Slim Margin,” May 6), Orange County Congressmen Christopher Cox, Robert K. Dornan, Jay C. Kim, Ronald C. Packard, Dana Rohrabacher and Edward R. Royce in effect were voting to make sure gangs continue to be heavily armed.

* The House stood up against the madness but not the Orange County congressional delegation. The complete Orange County delegation in the House of Representatives voted against the assault weapon measure.
