Man Shot in Neck While in Car Waits at Light; Motive Unknown

GARDEN GROVE — An unidentified man was shot in the neck Thursday while a car was stopped at a light on Garden Grove Boulevard in an apparently gang-related attack, police said.
According to witnesses, three shots were fired from a silver hatchback with five passengers also waiting at the light.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital. Two other passengers in the victim’s car were not injured, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Joe Johnson said.
Johnson said investigators do not know what initiated the shooting.
