THOUSAND OAKS : Parolee Arrested in Alleged Rape
A 39-year-old parolee has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman at knifepoint in his Thousand Oaks motel room, authorities said Monday.
Nathaniel Pringle was taken into custody Sunday evening after a 20-year-old woman told deputies Pringle pulled her into his room at the Econolodge on Thousand Oaks Boulevard and assaulted her repeatedly.
The woman said Pringle, who was on parole after being convicted of burglary in Los Angeles County, let her leave about an hour later.
She then called the Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived at the motel, they found Pringle in his room and arrested him, authorities said.
Sheriff’s Detective Darrell Erickson said the case is still under investigation and deputies plan to re-interview the woman Wednesday.
Pringle was being held without bail Monday in the Ventura County Jail. He was also arrested for violating his parole in a separate incident in Los Angeles County, authorities said.
