The Children’s Museum at La Habra has been awarded a $112,500 operating grant from the Institute of Museum Services, a federal agency that supports a variety of institutions, from art museums to zoos, that work to educate the public. The museum has received nine IMS grants in 14 years; this year’s is for the maximum agency grant amount. It totals about 15% of the museum’s $500,000 operating budget.
