Redshirt sophomore quarterback Chris Walsh has withdrawn from Miami, Coach Dennis Erickson said.
“Where he is going to transfer, I don’t know,” Erickson said. “I didn’t want him to leave, but I wanted him to do what he thinks is best.”
Walsh, brother of former Miami All-American Steve Walsh, returned to his home in St. Paul, Minn., according to Erickson.
After redshirting his first year with the program, Walsh played one game in 1993, serving as a backup to Frank Costa and Ryan Collins.
