La Canada 14, Burroughs 13--Burroughs quarterback Mike Barrett’s desperation pass was intercepted by cornerback Ben Lee as time expired at La Canada.
A 29-yard pass by Barrett to Scott Boldvich set up Burroughs at the La Canada 47-yard line with 11 seconds to play. Barrett completed 11 of 19 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns.
Burroughs received a strong game from Ken Knoop, who scored on a 24-yard pass reception early in the fourth quarter and also set up another scoring opportunity with a 67-yard run midway through the fourth quarter.
