Linda Fratianne, a 19-year-old from Northridge, finished second in the women’s figure skating competition of the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y.
East Germany’s Anett Poetzsch won the event with 189 points to edge Fratianne, who scored 188.3.
