Piper Jaffray Again Sued Over Derivatives Losses: The investment company is being sued for losses in a mutual fund it manages for Managers Funds of Norwalk, Conn. Lawyers for nine investors in Alabama, Kansas, Maryland and Florida filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, where the firm is based, claiming they were misled about the fund’s investment policies and its potential volatility. It is the 11th lawsuit to be filed against Piper Jaffray Inc. for derivative-related losses.
