Canyon 13, Alemany 13--In a game marked by blown kicking opportunities, Alemany missed a 40-yard field-goal attempt with 35 seconds to play. Alemany also missed an extra point, and Canyon missed two field-goal tries and an extra point.
Running back Armone Lochard and quarterback Rudy Pantoja combined on a 72-yard touchdown pass play to pull Alemany (0-2-2) even in the third quarter. Pantoja completed 12 of 17 for 162 yards and two touchdowns.
Tight end Danny Arguella caught five passes for 31 yards and a second-quarter touchdown of seven yards. Lochard carried 12 times for 54 yards.
Canyon was paced by Jeff McKinley, who rushed for 132 yards in 25 carries. He scored on a one-yard run in the third quarter. McKinley accounted for 59 yards on the scoring drive, which gave the Cowboys (0-3-1) a 13-7 lead.
Canyon quarterback Ahjeron Palmer rushed for 75 yards in 12 carries. The Cowboys rushed for 243 yards.
