NEWBURY PARK : Hazardous-Waste Pickups Scheduled

Ventura County’s first hazardous-waste collection program designed solely for small businesses will begin in Newbury Park this fall.
Business owners have until Oct. 17 to sign up for the program, which will allow safe disposal of paint, pool chemicals, batteries, pesticides and other toxic material generated in the workplace. Appointments are available only to businesses in Thousand Oaks.
