FULLERTON : Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Weekend
A sobriety checkpoint will be set up on a major thoroughfare between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. sometime during the New Year’s Eve weekend, police announced this week.
Police will check motorists in an effort to take drunk drivers off the streets. If drivers are found to be drunk, they will be taken into custody, authorities said.
Motorists who go through the checkpoint also will be given safe driving literature, which is being provided by Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.
