Garcia has been the Panthers’ waning-minute savior lately. Tuesday, he made a 17-foot jumper at the buzzer in a 43-42 victory over Troy, marking the second consecutive game he had won with a last-second shot. In the consolation final of the Orange Holiday Classic, his layup beat Oxnard Santa Clara. Friday, Garcia scored 22 points in a 45-39 victory over Foothill in a Century League opener. Orange led by two with about a minute left when Garcia made a three-point shot to give the Panthers breathing room.

* Servite, senior. Had 31 points and 10 rebounds in a 92-77 victory over No. 5 Trabuco Hills and 22 points and nine rebounds in a 66-59 victory over Ocean View.

* Laguna Hills, junior. Scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half of a 50-45 victory over Mission Viejo. Scored 18 in a 44-41 victory over Aliso Niguel.

* Orange, senior. Scored three goals in a 4-0 Century League victory over Foothill.
Wrestling
Josh Denne
* Marina, senior. In the 119-pound division at the Estancia tournament, beat top-seeded Andrew Pena of Irvine in the semifinals, then beat Jarod Freilich of Edison, 5-2, in the final. He was named most valuable wrestler in the lower weights.
