DURHAM, N.C. — Despite his release from the hospital, Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski is not expected to rejoin the Blue Devils for several more weeks while recovering from back problems.
Krzyzewski, 47, underwent surgery at Duke University Hospital on Oct. 22 to repair a displaced disk. He missed 10 days of work but returned ahead of schedule.
Last week, he complained of fatigue and mild discomfort and said he had had trouble sleeping. On Friday, after a checkup, he was admitted to the hospital.
Associate coach Pete Gaudet will continue as acting head coach for No. 16 Duke (9-4).
