Printronix Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of computer printers posted a profit of $1.9 million, or 35 cents a share, for its third fiscal quarter. That compared to earnings of $325,000, or 7 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier.

Sales for the period ended Dec. 23. rose 33% to $37.6 million from $28.2 million. For the first nine months of its fiscal year, the company’s earnings increased to $4.8 million, or 90 cents a share, from $952,000, or 20 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Nine-month sales were up 37% to $105.4 million from $76.9 million.
