FULLERTON : Trustee Urges Public to Voice School Concerns

Anthony M. (Tony) Valla, the newest member of the Fullerton School District Board of Trustees, is giving people a chance to chat with him and voice their concerns.
He has begun hosting “living room dialogue” meetings at his home and is inviting district teachers, parents, students and administrators to attend.
Valla said he will bring up the topics discussed during his informal chats at board meetings.
At his first session last month, 10 parents showed up to discuss an elementary school program, said Valla, a career education and English teacher at Tracy High School in Cerritos.
“What I’m offering to the public, as a public servant, is the chance to talk,” he said. “I don’t make any opinions. I’m just a listener. . . . I would like to encourage people to call me any time, any day, any hour so they can get things out in the open. I just want to get people talking.”
