With school districts cutting programs to make up for their losses in the Orange County bond pool, the future of fine arts education is in doubt.
The Placentia Chamber of Commerce’s monthly breakfast meeting at 7:15 a.m. Thursday will address that topic with a presentation from Linda Owen, fine arts coordinator for the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
Owen, also a violist with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, will discuss “The Importance of Arts in School and Beyond” at the Alta Vista Country Club, 777 Alta Vista Drive.
