Lancaster Pair Suspected of Selling Drugs
LANCASTER — A couple was arrested Wednesday after deputies found $50,000 worth of methamphetamines in their apartment, authorities said.
Narcotics investigators arrested Timothy Stumbaugh, 28, of Lancaster, after a brief pursuit when they came to his apartment with a search warrant.
“Several civilians saw him and pointed out to deputies which way he went,” said Sgt. Bruce Burleson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies found two ounces of methamphetamines in his possession and arrested him on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale, Burleson said.
When deputies searched his apartment, they found another pound of methamphetamines. His wife, Kimberly Stumbaugh, 25, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale, Burleson said.
The couple is being held at the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station in lieu of $70,000 bond, he said.
