ROLLER HOCKEY : Bullfrogs Win to Clinch Top Playoff Spot

The Bullfrogs clinched the Western Conference’s top playoff berth with an 8-7 victory over San Jose in a Roller Hockey International game in front of 3,945 Friday night at San Jose Arena.
It was the sixth consecutive victory for the Bullfrogs (18-2-1). San Jose is 12-10.
Todd Wetzel scored three goals and added two assists for the Bullfrogs. The hat trick was his seventh, the team’s single-season record.
Daniel Shank added two goals and five assists for the Bullfrogs, who are 7-1-1 on the road.
The Bullfrogs started the final quarter with a 7-4 lead but were outshot, 12-5. Shank scored with about 9 minutes 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter to but the Bullfrogs ahead, 8-6.
Bullfrog goalie Chris Gordon made two saves in the final 25 seconds to preserve the lead. Gordon finished with 37 saves to improve his record to 10-1.
The Bullfrogs are at Los Angeles at 7:30 tonight.
