Man Robs Ticket Business of $15,000

COSTA MESA — A Newport Boulevard ticket business was robbed of $15,000 Saturday by a man who displayed a gun in his waistband and demanded the contents of the cash register, police said.
The man, described by an employees as being in his early 20’s and wearing a black T-shirt, walked into the Ticket Shack at 1:30 p.m. and requested the money from an employee, said Costa Mesa Sgt. Neil Leveratt.
The employee took cash from the register and other areas and gave it to the man who fled, Leveratt said. The man is still at large.
