Bergen Brunswig Targets Managed Care
ORANGE — Bergen Brunswig Corp., an Orange-based pharmaceutical wholesaler, said Friday that it has formed a new subsidiary to focus on generating business in the managed health-care marketplace.
IntePlex Inc. will be headed up by Denny Steele, who has been executive vice president and chief information officer at Bergen Brunswig. Linda Burkett will take Steele’s former position. Burkett was most recently vice president of Bergen’s Information Resources Support Services.
Bergen Brunswig Corp., which has revenue in excess of $8.5 billion, is the nation’s largest supplier of pharmaceuticals to the managed care market and the second-largest wholesaler to the retail pharmacy market.
