LAGUNA HILLS : City Considers Series of Park Improvements
Neighbors of several city parks are hoping Christmas comes early this year as the City Council continues to look at park improvements such as picnic tables, barbecues, security lighting and restrooms.
Considering $381,000 in amenities for seven neighborhood parks, the council decided to wait for a master plan on Costeau Park from the city Parks and Recreation Committee before making a decision.
City Engineer Ken Rosenfield said the master plan should be completed by the end of the year.
Costeau Park would get the lion’s share of the improvements, including a basketball court, more lighting and other amenities that would cost $141,200.
A major portion of the expenditures for the city’s seven parks would be $218,200 for enhanced security lighting.
