GRANADA HILLS — Waking Bailey and Jarret Harris combined for 239 yards rushing and four touchdowns Friday night to lead Kennedy High to a 38-0 victory over Cleveland in a Northwest Valley Conference game.
Kennedy (6-0, 3-0) dominated on offense, with Bailey and Harris subbing for injured running back Antwane Smith.
On defense, the Golden Cougars forced six turnovers and converted four of them for touchdowns.
Defensive back Jason Ascencio led the way for the Golden Cougars with two interceptions and a sack.
Cleveland struggled offensively, dropping its second consecutive conference game, and with Taft on its schedule next week things look grim for the Cavaliers in the conference.
Kennedy dominated Cleveland’s seventh-ranked defense, rushing for 307 yards.
Kennedy Coach Bob Francola called the effort one of the Golden Cougars’ better games of the season and said the team is now looking forward to the Chatsworth game next week.
