Crush Will Acquire Ski Apparel Maker
LOS ALAMITOS — Crush Innovative Sports Systems Inc. said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to acquire Galena Creek Trading Co., maker of Smiley ski apparel, for about $2.5 million in cash and stock.
Crush will pay Galena Creek, based in Sparks, Nev., $500,000 in cash and about $2 million in stock.
The Los Alamitos company, which was founded in February, makes accessory equipment for snowboards and in-line skates. Crush plans to market its first products in sport stores and rental shops by early next year, according to officials.
Crush officials said they have not determined if Galena Creek’s operations would remain in Nevada. The deal is expected to close in January.
