SEASON AT A GLANCE: The 5-foot-11 guard is averaging 14.4 points a game and has led the Warriors (6-2) to two key victories. On Dec. 15, he had 18 points and four steals in a 71-67 Marmonte League victory over Camarillo. Friday, he scored 29 points in a 85-65 victory over Royal in the championship game of the Westlake tournament.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Stewart averaged 17.3 points a game in the Westlake tournament and was nine of 10 from the field and seven of seven from the free-throw line against Royal. “He’s always been a great defensive player and a good three-point shooter,” Westlake Coach Gary Grayson said. “But this year, he’s elevated his game to another level.”
