The Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn. at its monthly meeting Jan. 17 will focus on community crime and a proposal to redesign and landscape Ventura Boulevard.
According to association President Richard Close, Capt. Richard Wemmer, a commanding officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, will talk on how the department intends to increase its presence in the Sherman Oaks area.
The association planned to send out questionnaires Tuesday to 2,000 member households to gather comments on crime in Sherman Oaks. The results of the survey will be released at the meeting and discussed with Wemmer.
The meeting will begin 8 p.m. at Glendale Federal Bank, 13300 Ventura Blvd.
