A Star for Bozo, Please
It was with very fond memories that I read the story of Larry Harmon, who has brought laughter to more than 5 million people worldwide (“Sometimes It Pays to Be a Real Clown. Just Ask Bozo,” Calendar, Dec. 30).
In 1960 on television station WHDH Boston, I was selected by Bozo as his helper-sidekick “Butch for the Day,” which remains one of the most memorable highlights of my childhood.
To think that one of the staunchest supporters of Hollywood is unable to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is simply outrageous. We should all start a letter-writing campaign to Honorary Mayor Johnnie Grant to get Bozo his well-deserved reward.
