Life on Earth
* Re “GOP Clouds the Future of Environmental Protections,” Dec. 24: What the Republican “leadership” fails to acknowledge in its assault on the environment is that all life--from plants and animals to insects and humans--is inextricably linked for the survival of the whole: the Earth. If the Earth dies, we die. Period. And then all the money, construction development deals and mining rights in the world won’t be worth the paper they’re printed on.
Those who would put future generations at risk suffer from three basic human frailties: lack of foresight, laziness and greed.
